Charity Plant is a concept our company participates in to add value to exceptional new plants and create a funding mechanism for good causes.

The idea started as away for many charities to raise money through the beauty of gardening. In just a short time, interest has grown this idea into a cause.

CharityPlants.com is now selling its first plant with one more currently in the works for spring of 2006. With the help of great gardeners, we can aid those who are trying to make the world a nicer place. Lend a Helping Hand... Plant for a Reason.

The parent company of Charity Plants is Centerton Nursery, Inc. of Bridgeton, NJ.

Hemerocallis x 'Maurice River Queen'

'Maurice River Queen' Daylily is a 2005 release and one of our finest performers to date. She begins blooming in early-mid season and repeats to frost. The 4" flower is a true cool pink toned self. The growth habit is short at only 20". It is winter dormant and cold hardy to at least zone 4, yet will do well in the heat of zone 8.

For the sale of each plant, a donation will be made to the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts in Millville, NJ. To find out more about this great organization, please click here.

The Newest Member of CharityPlants.com:

Hemerocallis x 'Variety is the Spice'

'Variety is the Spice' is double red and is a strong grower, yielding multi-branched scapes that produce new flowers from July until September. It began as a great Daylily, and has now become a plant with purpose and potential. The growth habit is sturdy to 26". It is winter dormant and cold hardy to at least zone 4, yet will do well in the heat of zone 8.

For the sale of each plant, a donation will be made to Variety - The Children's Charity. To find out more about this fantastic non-profit, please click here.
